TET Exam is Teacher Eligibility Exam which is organized as entrance exam for the candidates who are interested to engage in the profession of teaching.
Candidates who wish to get the teaching job in Government schools needs to appear for the TET Exam. Eligible candidates will get appointed as teacher in any of the standard from class 1st to class 8th.
TET Exams are executed by the Central Government as well as State Government in India. Basic aim behind organizing these exams is to fulfill and attain the goals of Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education Act. Many of the states conduct their own TET Exam.
The Government of India has introduced the TET Exam purposely for the betterment of standards in teaching. Candidates who are already working as teacher need to qualify this exam within a time period of two years.
